Waking up before the alarm is a sign of serious mental decay.

I'm a lot more nervous than I usually am in interview situations, due in part to the gravity and nature of this interview as opposed to other interviews I've been in for part time jobs, or even my interview for my internship. I've forced myself to come to the realization that I've always had a somewhat cavalier attitude to the interview process that's somehow managed to work up until now.

I don't want to screw this up.

I'll update later with a rundown of the day, and my plans after the interview.

Good luck! Maybe try the reverse track, let them know your nervious because you really want the job. I don't recommend it, but it's a thought. Either way, I hope you get the job.

I'm sure you'll do just fine, John! I wish you good luck and safety as you get to and from the interview site. Also, I too have a cavalier attitude about interviews, I usually equate (even these) with taking some test which I've gone to class, read, and however else prepared throughout the semester. Some think this is sorta strange, but it's how I tend to deal with it, by not getting too worked up about it because I know that if I get too worked up about it, they won't really see me, my person. To me that's important, but....I am in another field....I don't know how that would fly. But, nonetheless, you'll do fine, just be open and honest, etc. :D
